What can you expect?

The Enriched Air Nitrox program is designed for divers who want to learn how to dive with enriched breathing gas mixtures. This specialty program provides the necessary knowledge to use Nitrox safely, correctly, and responsibly.

Diving with Enriched Air Nitrox can offer numerous benefits and extra safety, such as longer no-decompression limits and shorter surface intervals, provided the gas mixture is applied correctly. During this program, you will learn the principles, limits, and safety procedures specific to Nitrox diving.

The focus is entirely on knowledge, analysis, and the safe use of enriched air.

How your dive proceeds

Check-in

Check in at the counter 15 minutes beforehand. You’ll receive a colored wristband – always wear it visibly, it grants access to the Experience Zone. Your 2-hour dive session starts now.

Change clothes

  • Put on your swimwear
  • Store your belongings in a locker (opened with your wristband)
  • Go barefoot to the fourth floor (stairs or elevator)
  • Bring your own dive gear with you

Disinfect gear & shower

  • Go through the foot bath and take a shower
  • Pick up rented gear
  • Disinfect it in the sink and rinse.
  • Shower again before entering the water

After your dive

  • Disinfect your gear
  • Return the gear
  • Change clothes
  • Deposit your wristband in the box – within 2 hours.

Certification and follow-up opportunities

After completing the program:

  • The participant receives the Enriched Air Nitrox certification
  • The diver may dive with Nitrox mixtures within certification limits up to a maximum oxygen percentage of 40%
  • The diver can safely analyze and plan Nitrox dives

After Enriched Air Nitrox, you can continue with:

  • Other SSI Specialty programs
  • Advanced courses within the SSI system
