Safety is always our top priority. That’s why it’s important to be properly insured for the entire duration of your training. Exactly how this is arranged depends on the location of your training.
Below you’ll find all the information about your dive insurance:
Does your course include dives outside the walls of TODI, for example at an outdoor location or another indoor location? Then together we must ensure that you are 100% covered at all times in case of any accidents.
We have two options for this:
Do you already have active, personal dive insurance (for example through DAN, a diving federation, or a specific sports insurance)? Great! Bring a certificate of validity or your insurance card to the start of the course. Once our instructor has verified that your insurance is active, you’re all set.
Don’t worry, we won’t let you go into the water uninsured. We suggest that you apply for a temporary DAN Student Plan through DAN Europe. You can apply for this insurance via the DAN website.
Tip from our instructors: Think about your future underwater!
The DAN Student Plan is a perfect temporary solution for your Specialty, but it’s no longer valid afterward. If you’ve caught the diving bug and plan to go diving outdoors independently after your course, we highly recommend taking out personal, ongoing dive insurance. This way, you’re optimally protected for every future dive, anywhere in the world. Feel free to ask your instructor for advice on the different options!
